Our Electorate is Comfortable With Marxist Politicians

At one time, the fact that the City of Milwaukee had boasted (sic) a Socialist mayor was a surprise to many.

Today, it is no longer a big deal, and that is why the People must realize that we can no longer share the same nation with the enemies of Humanity. . 

Residents of the City of New York, a metropolis that has long been considered the prime example of the success of the market economy, recently elected Bill de Blasio as mayor. The new chief elected officer of NYC spent his honeymoon in Cuba and for years was an enthusiastic supporter of the Sandinistas. de Blasio ran as a Democrat, but given the fact that this party is now driven by the Left, his actual party label means nothing. One can imagine what political party, if any such entity still exists, would be a suitable home for Harry Truman or John F. Kennedy.

Residents of Seattle, not to be outdone by their East Coast urban comrades, elected Kshama Sawant - who eschews even the formality of using a traditional party label that  may cause some to let their guard down, to the city council. Sawant is a Socialist.

So gone to Hell is the Democratic Party of the United States and the individuals who cast their votes for its candidates that de Blasio could, knowing that it would not hurt his candidacy (a key point of this post), state the following when he spoke to a group of real estate developers - prior to the actual election.

Sawant too operates with the correct assumption that to speak like a Marxist is no longer even a minor hindrance to one who is seeking office. Indeed in many cases or regions in the nation, it may even help:

“We must reject this divided rule and build an independent united working class movement that will put on trial American racism, sexism, class and gender exploitation, and capitalism itself,” she said."

There you have it

One mayoral candidate of a city of well over 8,000,000 people, an entity that historians will note was once synonymous with the success of the free market, can state flat-out that he does not favor the market economy as a concept and add that he believes in the the chilling "heavy hand of government" - and win the election by a landslide. 

A new member of the city council of another once-great city can dive right into presenting capitalism as the source of evil in a nation that, while practicing that economic system, made more people free, well-fed housed, and clothed, as well as liberated more souls than any other nation on the history of the world. She goes on to claim that the evil capitalism has a natural outcome."Racism" (which never means anything but subjugating whites to the whims of everyone else) as the second enemy that must be taken head-on. She knows that she can speak in this manner  with no appreciable fallout for her hateful remarks.

I see nothing more than two utterly different nations that are diametrically opposed to each other. They will not compromise. They will make more copies of themselves in the Halls of Academia (and with the Common Core in primary schools). They will work tirelessly to bring as many like-minded individuals from nations that have no history of our system of government; nations in which concepts that gave birth to the system that made us great is foreign.

The longer that we wait, the harder it will be to effect a break. The longer that we ignore the handwriting on the wall** that all can read clearly, the more of the nation that will have already been lost.

US Education Secretary - Common Core Backlash Due to "Suburban White Moms"

The enemy gave up making any effort to hide their war plans long ago.

The very act of attempting to stop the forcing of - at best, substandard evacuation onto one's children will now incur the implied charge of being a racist. What is more, that same act of protecting your child will result in another accusation - this one leveled at your child; being concerned (or in this case, fully aware) that your kid will not be learning nearly enough to compete and succeed means that you have unrealistic expectations of his intellectual abilities and willingness to learn.

According to the Washington Post, Duncan told a group of state schools superintendents he found it “fascinating” opposition comes from “white suburban moms who — all of a sudden — their child isn’t as brilliant as they thought they were and their school isn’t as good as they though they were.”.........."
The language is nothing if not Orwellian - Accept that we will teach your kid very little or we will casually and haughtily dismiss you as not being aware of you own kid's abilities. We know how smart your kid is and you don't. And - by the way, for white people who live in the suburbs - you aren't smart, educated or hardworking enough to afford the costs of living next to truly successful people, so who do you think you are telling us how to do our jobs or living in a single-family residence*.  You dare open your mouth in protest at what we are doing? That means that you must be white and by extension assume that you are born to privilege.

I wonder how concerned non-white parents will react to this. If I were Back or Hispanic, I would be quite angry at the insinuation that I was not sharp enough to understand that my kid is being cheated out of a decent education and that my ethnicity prevents me from voicing any concern.

I am having a hard time coming up with words to describe the multiple angles of levels of lies that the US Secretary of Education has employed with his second accusation.  The first one is easy enough to understand in our anti-white, make-it-easy by blaming white (especially those of the Leftist-derided suburban types) culture, but the second part is so insidious as to defy attempts to explain.

Think about it. The Left creates the Common Core, a system designed to keep all but the very few students who shine in the earliest of primary school grades in the middle of the pack - virtually forever. It also denies them a tremendous amount of learning as time-honored reading material from which one learns, becomes creative and think critically, and experiences an excitement of the intellect is replaced with informational reading such that in instructional pamphlets. The ability that one gains from doing mathematical problems is denied to the student because the new system has him doing more word-problems and engaging in the initiative-destroying group project. The history of the republic in which the student was born and bred is portrayed merely as a series of events controlled by greedy racists. The Socialist-driven modern Democratic Party is presented as the savior of the People while the political opposition is labeled as reactionary supporters of the uber-rich and hyper-religious zealots. Once the student is tracked into this morass, the only way out (exacting private schools or homeschooling) is to parrot the Party line with such enthusiasm and consistency as to warrant a possible young Obama-type of extrication by the handlers where the fortunate ones will be fed the royal jelly while the rest labor in ignorance for the good of the rest of the hive.  

*I have read the words for these people for years and I can say with certainty that Leftists detest the single-family residence as a concept and generally advocate restricting such homes to those who can pay Carbon Offset-type penalties for the privilege. The rest of us should accept our lot in life and move into apartments. A single-family home promotes the ideas of family, independence, and property - some key essentials of free societies. Typing "Agenda 21" in the search bar on the upper right of this page will bring up several posts on that worldwide Socialist movement to end suburban living completely. In other news, a judge suspended  the prison sentence of a man who raped a girl when she was a minor.

-and yet we are told time and again that mandatory minimum prison sentencing laws are unfair for the criminals and the judges.

Again, the enemy is no longer hiding their war plans. They are bent on destroying us and if we do not act soon to break away from them, they may win.

I would laugh until the cows come home if this judge and his favored rapist are both subjected to street justice. Relatives, close friends of victims, and concerned citizens will not stand for this much longer. Individuals such as these are leaving the People with little or no recourse to the justice for which our forebears, both here and in the old countries, worked so hard to enshrine and protect for us.

Instead, he gave Clem three community corrections sentences of two years plus three years of supervised probation, to be carried out concurrently, CNN said, adding that Clem must register as a sex offender.
If he follows all the guidelines, Clem will stay out of prison, CNN reported.

“I’m still baffled,” the victim, Courtney Andrews, told CNN, after coming forward publicly to express her anger over Wednesday’s sentencing. “I don’t know how any of this is possible.”...."

I will assert here that a terrible tragedy has befallen the universally-respected, and indeed legendary, Scotland Yard. I find nothing in the articles that claim that he died by accident and was later placed in the bag by someone else. No, it appears that the law enforcement body for which rock-solid investigatory work in criminal matters has been a given for (can't recall exactly when they began) well over one hundred years has abandoned its principles. We are being asked to take their word for it that Gareth Williams undressed, crawled in a bag, locked himself in, and then died - all by accident.

"....The Yard said that it had studied videos which emerged following last year's inquest showing how a person could lock themselves inside a sports bag and accepted it is "now proven" that such an event could have happened with the same North Face holdall and padlock in which Mr Williams was found....."

This is the point when the lifetime naysayers admit to themselves that we are in big trouble and that some conspiracy theories are indeed real.

The Left has a number of (in American Football and baseball parlance) "plays" that they run both to provide cover for their intentions and to intimidate their opponents into avoiding any references to those same intentions.

In this case, the intention of the Left would be slavery. Socialism is slavery - plain and simple. A system that begins with the principle that people are to be held in check and ordered about for their own good is a system of slavery. A system in which people are denuded of so much of their earnings for the support of many who will not themselves work - to the point that they may never be able to even retire, is slavery. A system that assumes that the individual has no right to posses any sort of weapon with which he can defend himself or his rights is slavery. A system that holds that "rights" are what the leaders of the system say they are is slavery. A system that (such as in Germany and possibly soon to come here) that prohibits parents from safeguarding their children from governmental and other dysfunctional propaganda in schools  is slavery. A system that either does not allow private property (in this case, land) or a reasonable amount of  Liberty with what one can actually do with the land to which he holds title and pays taxes, is slavery. A system that tells people where they can live (Agenda 21* still is being pushed) is slavery. A system that holds parents responsible for the actions of their children but does not allow them to discipline them is slavery.

You get the picture.

So much is Socialism pure slavery that the Left bristles at the very mention of it unless it is they utilizing the term to blame Westerners for it. Slavery  existed long before the Western world began. The Western world had fully excised it by roughly the year 1000. After its return, Western nations were the first  to end slavery. Westerners were still being taken as slaves by Muslims well into the 19th century. Muslims still own slaves in many Islamic nations.

But again, as Socialism  is slavery,  Leftists need to end any mention of it in reference to them.

In this case, MSNBC host Martin Bashir plays a routine but not-very-good game of equating all slavery with one horrific example of terrible abuses of slaves - both by one individual. Bashir pretends to be under the impression that any reference to slavery must refer to similar type tortuous behavior to be accurate. In an pathetic effort to make people fear to make any references to the slavery inherent in Socialism, he uses a terribly foul account to suggest that all slavery must be as bad as the account that he cites. He implies that, if it is not, then it can't be slavery.

Note the pattern when you listen to, or converse with, a Leftist on any subject. They will take the most extreme example of one subject, pretend to be under the impression that this example is illustrative of the norm, and then imply that you cannot make any reference to that subject unless your example is at least as extreme as the one he cited.

Bashir also is not known for being very bright, and he projects his own stupidity onto Sarah Palin. Bashir also pretends  to be under the impression that all slaves are physically, emotionally, or psychologically abused. Although all slavery is of course wrong, many slaves in all eras of the world were treated very well. World history is replete with accounts of slaves who had jobs and lifestyles that were far better than those of the average American. The key that Bashir ignores is that, despite how one is treated, they were not free. 

The latter status is what Bashir and his allies want for us, so they pride themselves with the claims that they will never mistreat their slaves (all of us) and then prove it to us by citing examples of terrible abuse to say -so to speak  "See, what we want for you is not slavery, we will never beat you or subject you to any other physical or emotional  torture. We just want you to do what we say because it is for your own good."

No one, least of all Sarah Palin, was fooled by Bashir's foul tirade.

“And he mentions a similar incident in 1756, his time in relation to a man he refers to as Punch: ‘Flogged punch well, and then washed and rubbed salt pickle, lime juice and bird pepper, made Negro Joe piss in his eyes and mouth,’” Bashir continued.

Finally, he got to his underlying message — that if anyone is qualified for such treatment, it’s Palin.

“When Mrs. Palin invokes slavery, she doesn’t just prove her rank ignorance. She confirms if anyone truly qualified for a dose of discipline from Thomas Thistlewood, she would be the outstanding candidate,” he concluded."

While school administrators run about panic-stricken, trying to persuade concerned parents that the Common Core should be "given a chance to succeed", Americans across the nation are responding to the nationwide system that guarantees that pathetically few students who do not attend private schools (or home schooled) will be prepared by their K-12 education for little more than junior colleges.

The Leftist elite have done their homework well. Tired of dealing with annoying young adults who have learned enough to challenge the establishment (witness the shocking amounts of college students who have even recently flocked to Ron Paul's message), they have created a system that locks the vast majority of primary school students into a tracking program that makes functional illiterates, has them counting Stone Age-like on their fingers, teaches them that Westerners are the cause of all the evils in the world, has them reading works that are sexually explicit in nature, and contains material blatantly  designed to make them think highly of the now Socialist-driven Democratic party.

-and much of this came even before the Common Core, the creators of the new program just no longer make any attempt to hide their intentions and have entrenched it across the nation. 

Recall the reason behind the book-burning system of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. Reading material that allows people to learn things and develop their own understanding, excites the intellect and helps one understand his sense of indentity, causes one to question what one is being told by the establishment, and enhances creativity must be destroyed. As Leftist thought is itself utterly unimaginative* and reliant on a hyper-exaggerated and often patently  false version of world history, the People must be rendered either unable read on learn on their own or made to be so hateful of their past that they will not want to read about it.

*Note that Marx looked at the problems of the industrial revolution, which was a short blip on the radar in the big picture of world history, and from there decided that the only response to this was the creation of a world system that eliminated any real rights to property (land or earnings), the family (women were to have children with multiple men and the latter were to have no appreciable involvement  as fathers), the societal brake of religion, and virtually anything else that has proven to work far better than any attempt at Socialism.

In a recent Long Island, NY, district meeting, administrators pleaded with the outraged parents to "act like adults" and give the program a chance. Well, when a year or more of a child's youth education is at stake, one does not have time for putting on rose-colored glasses and waiting to see how things turn out. The really sad part about the patronizing remark made by the administrator is that, if the school officials had themselves acted like adults and did their jobs in the first place, they would not have to deal with parents who want this monstrosity stopped - now.

Leftists are fond of telling us how school programs in the industrial age were designed to teach students only by rote memorization (still a very valuable and, such as with multiplication tables- a necessary tool), and that these systems were created with the intention of teaching students to accept the authority of their "betters" once they reached adulthood. Well, at least those students learned how to read and do arithmetic and did not hate everything that went into making their nation. What the Left is doing to our youth today is exactly the same at during the maligned industrial age, but this time they are indoctrinating  these students to accept the wisdom of the Leftist elite. The one big big difference is that at least those poor children of factory workers learned to read and such.

Truck-drivers do not need to know Huck Finn. Physicians have no use for the humanities. Only those destined to major in literature need to worry about Ulysses. 

Perhaps a truck-driver needs no acquaintance with Paradise Lost to do his or her day’s work. But everyone is better off knowing Shakespeare and Euclidean geometry, and everyone is capable of it. Everyone bears the responsibility of growing in wisdom and grace and in deliberating with fellow-citizens about how we should all live together. A sound education helps each of us to do so.

The sad facts about Common Core are most visible in its reduction in the study of classic, narrative fiction in favor of “informational texts.” This is a dramatic change. It is contrary to tradition and academic studies on reading and human formation. Proponents of Common Core do not disguise their intention to transform “literacy” into a “critical” skill set, at the expense of sustained and heartfelt encounters with great works of literature......

“The president essentially bribed states into implementation via ‘Race to the Top,’ offering $4.35 billion taxpayer dollars to participating states, $500 million of which went to Tennessee,” Young said. “And much like No Child Left Behind, the program promises national testing and a one-size-fits-all education, because hey, it worked so well the first time.”

“If nothing else, these standards are a glowing conflict of interest and they lack the research they allegedly received,” he added........

The high school senior went on to argue that “standards-based education is ruining the way we teach and learn.” He also revealed that legislators and administrators have told him “that’s just the way things work.”.......

Government bureaucrats will never be able to measure “creativity, appreciation, inquisitiveness” but they are the “purpose of education,” he lectured.

“Somewhere our Founding Fathers are turning in their graves — pleading, screaming and trying to say to us that we teach to free minds. We teach to inspire. We teach to equip, the careers will come naturally"

This disgrace of an Attorney General has abused the powers of his office on numerous occasions. "A group of fed-up House Republicans, who say they are tired of being stonewalled by Attorney General Eric Holder, plan to formally introduce articles of impeachment on Thursday in a bid to remove the nation’s top law enforcement officer from office.

Several GOP congressmen have been drafting articles of impeachment over a number of controversies relating to the U.S. Department of Justice. The lawmakers’ grievances include Holder’s refusal to turn over documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious, the DOJ’s habit of selectively enforcing federal laws, and the department’s refusal to prosecute IRS officials who allegedly accessed confidential taxpayer information, among other things...........

Rep. Pete Olson (R-Texas) told CQ Roll Call that he plans to formally introduce the charges on Thursday. Further, Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) confirmed the impeachment effort to TheBlaze TV in an interview on “Wilkow!” Wednesday night.

In a statement provided to CQ Roll Call, Olson said Holder has displayed a “pattern of disregard for the rule of law” even after Congress voted to hold him in contempt in 2012. The Florida Republican also released a five-page white paper outlining the four articles of impeachment that will be filed against Holder:

Article I of the impeachment proceedings claims that Holder “engaged in a pattern of conduct incompatible with the trust and confidence placed in him” by refusing to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for documents related to “a legitimate congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms that put thousands of illegally-purchased weapons into the hands of cartel leaders, ultimately resulting in the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry on December 14, 2010.”

Article II of the proceedings charges that Holder violated his oath of office by refusing to enforce certain laws that the Obama administration, for various reasons, decided not to enforce, including the Defense of Marriage Act, which the administration deemed unconstitutional.

Article III also charges that Holder violated his oath of office, this time by “refusing to prosecute individuals involved in the Internal Revenue Service scandal of unauthorized disclosure of tax records belonging to political donors.”

Leftist Writer - "Troops Don't Protect Our Freedoms"

This is by no means a new thing, but the details of the writer's arguments do warrant refutations.

Liberals and other Leftists have long had a bone to pick with our military. As an organization that at least still has the underlying foundations of God, patriotism, honor, and - most troublesome of all to radicals, a overwhelming reliance on men, the US military is a body that makes individuals who abandon faith,  honor, love of one's nation, and above all want to fully marginalize men, quite uncomfortable to say the least.

From my viewpoint, I have also noted with dismay that all too many Americans who fear the onset of totalitarianism but have themselves been unwilling to join the struggle have come to place their hopes in the military to save us from being enslaved. "At least we still have the military", when stated in reference to a possible move to prevent a dictatorship of (to borrow a term from the American Legion) "of both the classes and the masses", indicates that the People have lost their way. A "standing army", which was the greatest fear of our founders and framers, has now become is the eyes of the People virtually their sole protector, and that is an abject tragedy for a People born and bred in a culture of Freedom.

This is exactly the opposite of how it is supposed to be. While the military is clearly tasked with suppressing insurrections, its main responsibility in the event of a real break (given that a hypothetical break today would have vast differences from that of the southern states following Lincoln's election)  in our nation would be to ensure that the differences are solved by political means, even if that includes a USSR-style breakup. It is not there to initiate action while the People sit back and do nothing.

As a key part of the oath of enlistment is to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" one would have a hard time arguing that a movement of a large share the People against a government that has itself largely abandoned constitutional principles (with the future looking even more bleak) should be cause for the military to follow orders to assist in suppressing this movement. In such and event, the role of our military would be a negative one -acting as a check on a DHS crackdown and refusing to engage in acts of war against citizens while the "divorce" of the two Americas is carried out (or even with a hypothetical ironing out of our differences).

-On to the article:

"Left-leaning news website Salon.com is under fire for publishing a contributor’s article on Veterans Day that instructed individuals to stop thanking members of the military on his behalf for their service.

The article, titled “Stop thanking the troops for me: No, they don’t ‘protect our freedoms‘” and authored by freelance writer Justin Doolittle, was featured on Salon’s front page Monday and questioned why the media and professional sports are “constantly jamming military fervor down our throats.”

“The ‘freedoms’ most Americans think of when they hear the term are enshrined in constitutional and statutory law,” the article said. “They are in no way dependent on the size, scope or even the existence of the U.S. military.”

[The above leaves the reader wondering if the writer thinks that we do not know the specifics of the wording of the oath of enlistment (excerpt above). You can bet your bottom dollar that he knows, but it appears that he is hoping that you have never been made aware of that to which new recruits swear. Anything that is - in his words, "enshrined in law" has no power unless there is a means to enforce it. Just like municipal laws mean nothing absent local police, sheriffs, other law enforcement or a very active body of citizens, the freedoms guaranteed in our Constitution are in fact ultimately protected by our military. That commission was  illustrated as recently as the days when troops were nationalized and ordered to end the restrictions in segregated schools]

“The combination of unanimous, entirely uncritical appreciation for the military, and the irrational belief that we owe gratitude to the troops for virtually everything we cherish in life, up to and including freedom itself, is very dangerous for our intellectual culture,” the article said, adding that if someone “disbanded the entire military, Americans’ ‘freedoms’ would not suddenly vanish.”

[Here the writers engages in an artillery barrage of  implications in the hopes that one will feel helpless. It is the secular equivalent of an Evangelical who, noting that another Christian has strong arguments in support of  his faith, starts with "verse slinging" - a nonstop bombardment of Bible verses cited with no explanation  and without context that is designed to create a facade of strength in one's position. Refuting the writer's patently false uses of words such as "virtually", " irrational", and  "dangerous", along with the clearly false characterizations of attitudes of they who do thank members of our military, would take - like with the Evangelical, far longer than it takes to make the false accusations.  That is precisely why these dishonest cheap shots are used.]

“We need not thank the troops for every breath we take”

[Here the writer steps into a trap of his own making - It is not every breath of air which we tale or which we should be grateful, it is every breath of free air that we take for which we should give thanks. Like the medieval maxim that "Town air makes one free after a year and a day", which meant that a runaway serf could no longer be taken by his lord back to a state of bondage after remaining in a town for a set period, the only reason that the United States was able to enforce the provisions of the Declaration of Independence and by extension actually be able to create a Constitution was the efforts and sacrifices of the Continental Army and the militias of the new states. When one joins the military, he assumes that same obligation to protect the freedoms and liberties of the People. Thus, contrary to the writer's claim, we do owe them a debt of gratitude. We should note that members our our military really don't look for thanks but actually do not want their service denigrated like the writer does]

“We need not thank the troops for every breath we take,” it concluded. “When we do, we reduce our entire existence as free people to something that only exists at the whim of the U.S. military, and suffocate critical thought about the military and what it’s actually doing in the world.

[Here we end by noting that the writer would have done well to engage in some critical thinking about the position that he affects to hold - at least prior to submitting it to the staff at Salon. I guess that the same goes for the editorial staff that chose to publish this piece]

He goes to these different countries and he poses as a rich American that is buying children to bring them back into the United States to sell them into slavery here. And so he was at this party, and he said, ‘I want that one and that one and that one and that one.’ And as soon as the money changed hands, the Navy SEALs drop out of the ceiling and they save the children.”

Beck said the little boy was confused at first, thinking the SEALs were more men to abuse them, but when he understood who they were “the little boy ran to my friend and grabbed onto his neck and (my friend) said, ‘Glenn, he wouldn’t let go.’”

“That was my first mission,” Beck’s friend told him. “There are hundreds of missions like that after.”

“And (my friend) started, just like in ‘Mission Impossible,’ opening up files and throwing pictures down on the table and saying, ‘This one – we know where they are. This one – we know where they are. This one – we know where they are.’ American citizens, missing, and we know where they are.”
Beck said his friend has developed a way to treat not just a symptom of the problem — rescuing the children after they have already been horrifically abused — but the disease itself, before the children are taken, by “knocking these people back into darkness.” And it would be unhindered by the bureaucracy of the federal government, but still completely legal.

“We know how to extract them. This is what we do,” the Operation Underground Railroad websitestates. “We rescue them and place them into safe havens where they can be rehabilitated. Then we go after the bad guys and break their organizations. Help us do this. Help us help the children.”..........

Follow - Up on Berlin Wall Post

As I had not gotten around to writing The Friday, November 8 post on the Berlin Wall *(At bottom) and the reality that we face today until later in the evening, I grew sleepy and and consequently had to cut the post a bit short.

I am partial to employing anecdotal accounts, particularly in regards to individuals with whom I have  spoken through the years, as I strongly feel that we can glean more from the outlooks of others than we can merely by citing large-scale events. One can easily research voting patterns and such, but these are example of data that can - in my opinion, only be of real help when only when we view them through the filters of attitudes of members of society.

When a female Marine recruit is interviewed in a documentary on newer training programs from the later 90's (which did appear to be physically and psychologically rigorous) and takes that opportunity to assert that females can do the "job" (meaning soldiering in general) "in most cases better than males", we are faced with an increasingly accepted outlook that marginalizes the differences in physical strength, natural aggression and innate emotional abilities of males to thrive in warlike environments. When that account is brought up in a conversation with another male serviceman, and his response is "Well, that's her opinion.", we are faced with another facet of the appreciable changes in society; the obligation of individuals to make a reasonable effort to give an honest opinion is not even taken into consideration. Anyone can say what he or she wants with no fear of loss of credibility - which in turn means that no one really has any credibility.

A few years before I retired from law enforcement, an officer who was only just over four years younger than I was assigned to my section. As he had changed careers much later in life (prior to the downward spiral of our economy , he had a successful career in sales), he was much closer to me in age than other officers with two or less years of service. I was close to retirement, but he was just getting started.

We were also on opposite sides of the cultural and political spectrum. As I was a supervisor who took tremendous pride in avoiding anything that could be perceived as bullying or misusing my position, I ensured that it would be he who brought up topics for discussion and exercised great caution when these topics were addressed. Interestingly, this practice helped me to learn quite a bit and get a clear picture of the hyper-liberal mindset.

I had finished four years in the Marines by the time he had entered  high school. Little by little, I began to understand that he had very little knowledge of the threats that we had faced during the late 70's through the early to mid 80's. He also had only known the USSR and Warsaw Pact era as a period that was at its very end. With no knowledge of what life in the USSR was like, and soothed by a life as a teenager-young adult devoid of  any concerns of the spread of Marxism, he never felt the need to question much of anything. He would take it for granted that, as were are still told, that the Liberal Democracies "are there to help the people". In short, he was the perfect candidate for indoctrination be Trotskyite Leftist professors who could act as if the (in their words) "aberrations" of the failed Communist states were only blips on the radar and that Socialism was still a system that can work - and indeed that it needs to come into being in the West.

Note these were never his actual words. I was able to piece together his attitudes from the positions that he advocated on the topics that he brought up.

For him, the Western deconstructionist-tool Global Warming/Climate Change was as real as was the dark that comes with the sunset. The claims on the rates of warming presented in the movie An Inconvenient Truth were taken as facts without any concern that the makes of the film may be intentionally misleading the viewers, nor was there any suspicion that they had could have been in error.

When he recalled the 2004 Bush/Kerry presidential election (one that gave us no really good choice), he - in an effort to make a point, noted that the French and Italians both wanted Kerry to win. At this I dropped my guard and explained that the last thing that American should want for our society is to be more like those of France and Italy (I am of half-Italian ancestry, but... Berlesconi?). I added that their societies are collapsing and that this is due in a large part to a wholesale abandonment of their religion, culture, and sense of historical identity. To illustrate my point, I brought up my example of a man who has been in a coma for four years and wakes up on election day. Desperately wanting to vote, but unaware of the issues, he asks for English translations of the editorial sections of French and Italian newspapers. He reads those sections, notes who they want to be President of the US, and votes for the other guy - problem solved.

For the record, we in the US are at best only a half-step behind our elder cousins and are enthusiastically closing the gap.

He was staunchly against the second Iraq War ( as was I but for utterly different reasons), but his reasons for being so had nothing to do with concern for the destabilizing of the Islamic world, its natural consequence of the continuing rise of the surveillance state in the US, the military casualties that would be best avoided ( Of course Iraqis too were tragically killed but Saddam Hussein also was slaughtering them), or the immense monetary expense of conducting another war while Afghanistan was not even remotely close to being pacified (and it still is not). His entire problem seemed to be that it was an act of G.W. Bush, which for him made it wrong ipso facto.

The excising of American history in primary school was even more thorough for his time that it was for mine. I recall a day when he noted that G.W. Bush was elected President despite having failed in several business ventures. Not only was he fully ignorant that Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson and other key American leaders also perennial failures (as well as figures in worlds history) in business but were successful leaders or statesmen, he then went to the 2008 election and voted for B.H.Obama - a man with virtually no experience in anything whatsoever.

None of this is intended to be an indictment of the man; I find him to be likable and one of the few Liberals who truly thinks that he has the right ideals. What I see in him is far too many of the people who came of age in the years after my age group. They have no memory of Communism save the candy-coated version that was conveniently labeled as not actual Communism after all. They were subjected to mass- indoctrination while we basked in the glory of a post-USSR world. We ignored the attacks on "dead.white men". that began on the early 90's which left room for them to learn that the only culture to eliminate slavery should take the blame for slavery. They have never learned that the 'War on Poverty" has done nothing but make more people poor.

He and they who followed have very little understanding of Marxism and thus have no defense against the current  wave of Marxist thought that pervades the Western world.

Millennial Makes Video on Entitlement Culture

Caleb Bonham, who is affiliated with Campus Reform, has made a short but powerful video in which he notes that the assumption that we are - by virtue of living here, entitled or otherwise have rights to day care, housing, etc.
 

The best example of this attitude that I can recall is an interview that Sean Hannity had with one of the representatives of Occupy Wall St. when the movement was at its height. The young man was using his college loan monies to pay for camping at the then-ongoing protest (yes, he actually had very little or no college credits to his name at the time). Yet he still, in a arrogant manner that shocked even me, casually stated that the suggestions that Hannity offered, such as waiting/bussing tables in restaurants were jobs that were "beneath me". That is was the Left has done to our youth in schools - deliberately convinced them that they are too good to work hard for a living, By this simple, act, the population will be unable to do anything other than what they are told by the elite.

I like to note that Mr Bonham begins his video with a quote from John Wesley (a pious man with a mission and vision from which modern Methodists would do well to return) - “What one generation tolerates, the next generation will embrace.”. Later in the video (which is very short - readers here know that I prefer reading over watching people speak), he extends Wesley's maxim to noted that what the next generation embraces will be demanded by the one that follows.

By coincidence, the Bible verse that Mr. Bonham  employs to make a point, 2 Thessalonians 3:10,
"For even when we were with you, we gave you this command: If any one will not work, let him not eat."*, is actually part of the same Epistle reading that US Catholics will see at mass next week. 

*For the record, we should note that St. Paul is referring to people who are able to do some kind of work but prefer to have others do it for them.

Here I betray my bad habit of reading ahead scheduled readings - sometimes weeks in advance, while attending Sunday mass. I guess that this naturally follows my strong preference for reading text of speeches rather than waiting for the speaker to make his point. If it mitigates my guilt in any way, the only time that I do this is when the priest is performing a homily (sermon) that is doing very little to actually expound upon the messages of the Old Testament, Epistle, and Gospel messages from that day  - which is an all-to-common practice in Catholic churches of our era. I long for my childhood days when Monsignor Hayes would go into such detail about the Gospel (and preceding readings) that his homilies have stuck with me until this day. 

For the non-Catholic reader, I should note that unlike, for pastors/ministers in Evangelical Christian and most Mainline Protestant churches, Catholic priests are not at liberty to choose scripture readings. Excepting Holy Days of obligation and seasons such as Advent and Lent (all of which have their own scheduled readings) the readings for Sundays in "Ordinary time" are on a three- year schedule in the Lectionary. During this period, a tremendous amount of the Bible is covered. Simply by regularly attending mass, a Catholic will learn a far wider range of readings during that period than will a non-Catholic Christian who attends a similar amount of church services in his denomination (or non-denominational) church.

Filth-Spewing Animal Activist Rants at Speaking Event

This is another facet of the Left. In addition to racists, fascists or Nazi (both of which are actually Leftist in origin), colonialists, etc, we now have the label "species-ist".

One vicious proponent of reducing humans to the status of animals reminds us of the state to which our society has sunk. While most the audience may not agree with what he says, many will still be sufficiently moved to sign on with the movement to ban all uses of animals for humans. That includes milk, something for which at least three different ethnic groups (Northeast Asians, blacks in certain parts of Africa, and many whites of Europe and Asia) separately developed a hereditary capability to digest thousands of years ago.

People, this is not an isolated event - this and other hyper-radical claims are being spewed all of the time.

"Gary Yourofsky, a self-proclaimed “vegan animal liberation activist,” has made quite a name for himself in the last decade for his radical views.

Most infamously he proclaimed this in a 2006 interview: “Every woman ensconced in fur should endure a rape so vicious that it scars them forever. While every man entrenched in fur should suffer an anal raping so horrific that they become disemboweled.”.........

TheBlaze listened to Yourofsky’s Sociology 101 lecture via Campus Reform in which he accuses meat-eating students of “carnivorous bestiality” and characterizes circuses as “slave ships.” Most interestingly Yourofsky, a Jew, also charges the meat and dairy industries of causing “the world’s largest and longest-running holocaust.”

Here’s some more of what he declared:
“Is bestiality weird to you? Doing sexual things with animals? Because I used to think everybody thought so, but not even close, my meat, cheese, and [inaudible] egg-loving friends, because you engage in carnivorous bestiality on a daily basis.”
“You pay somebody else to sexually molest a cow and squeeze their nipples for you? Okay, you guys are f**king obsessed with hen a**es and cow t**s.”
“Once a year, every cow on every dairy farm is raped to impregnate her, a long steel device shoved in her vagina.”
“One day after seeing animals backstage at a circus, chained up and caged up, I not only realized that I was witnessing a slave ship, I realized I was a hypocrite, a bigot, a species-ist. Like a racist who believes that their race is more important and more special than all the other races, a species-ist believes that humans are more special and more important than all the animals, and therefore have the right to commodify, enslave, and kill any species they choose.”
“Imagine yourself confined in a concentration camp truck, on your way to a slaughterhouse, so someone could slice your throat and cut you up into pieces; you would understand why the psychotic addictions of meat, cheese, milk and eggs must be abolished.”..................."

The fact that creeps such as he not only feel safe spewing such filth, let alone have a public forum in which to do so, is another proof that there are two utterly different nations in the US. This also applies to the nations of Western Europe.  

Leftism, in all of its forms, is about nothing but control of others. They will not stop until they control all aspects of your life. It is for this reason - along with the fact that there are now so many of these cancers, that I have often called for a full separation of the US into two systems. Let them have their way, and woe to them if they try to bring their filth our way.

The Berlin Wall Fell But Marxism as Strong as Ever

Tomorrow will be the 24th anniversary of the effective end of the Berlin Wall.

Born in the mid 60's I grew up with the most tangible example of the term Iron Curtain an already-established reality. As primary and high school students during the latter end of that (Berlin Wall) era, young people in my age group lived with the constant reminder that not only did Marxism fail miserably, but that states with that system were left with no option other than hem their own subjects in for their own good or face collapse from an exodus of people who did not know what was good for them.

We all knew, and had seen, some of  the accounts of people who had been killed or imprisoned as a result of trying to get through or over the "anti-fascist barrier". As a consequence of the (very possibly a purposeful) failure of the West to demand an Nuremberg-type account of the crimes committed by Communist states, many are not aware of the penalties meted out by the Stasi to would-be escapes, and in some cases, the families of these. Some of course will remember the inspirational 80's movie Night Crossing, which portrayed the courageous efforts ( I will not spoil the end) of one family to "get out of Dodge".

I was discharged from the Marine Corps in mid-1989. By the autumn of that year, the predictions of political writers ( I vividly recall one from either Time or Newsweek around the year 1983 but have since been unable to locate an archive of it) were coming to fruition much more quickly than predicted. With neighboring Warsaw Pact states opening their borders, people were leaving Honecker's paradise - where Socialism was said to "work" at a pace that forced the issue.

By the time I left work on November 9th, 1989, the news was covering one - and only one event, The German Democratic Republic had ordered that traffic would no longer be impeded by those seeking to enter West Berlin. Tears welled up in my eyes as I watched one news anchor after another being unable to maintain their usual stoic demeanor - some of them had had smiles the entire time that they were speaking.

By chance, the next day was the Marine Corps birthday ball. November 10th is a big deal for Marines. As a new reservist, my then-wife and I attended our units celebration at a wonderful event hall. We all were still elated.

Readers of previous posts will know that I am a magnet for Marxists, anti Catholic Fundamentalists, anti-Catholic Catholics, radial atheists and proponents of eugenics, etc. If I don't run into them, they find me like honeybees that have been directed to a target by scout bees. My Marine reserve unit was no exception; we had more than our fair share of college student reservists who were dyed-in-the-wool Marxists. One is particular was a Haitian immigrant who I found to be one of the very few Marxists with whom I could speak without desiring to subject him to an overhand right. It is of course wrong to rub salt in a wound, but I could not resist giving him a parting (or Parthian) shot with a good-humored remark about the Wall. He took it well and hugged me as we left the ball.

Four the last seven or so years, however, I have wished that  I had kept in contact with him as he deserves his chance to return the favor.

For the next two years, though, I was certain that there would never be any reason to admit that I was wrong. The USSR folded late in 1991, as did Yugoslavia and other Marxist governments such as  Albania. USSR-subsidized states such as North Korea and Cuba foundered in the wake of Marxist collapse I also have vivid memories of holding my one and a half year-old daughter while the music video Wind of Change by the Scorpions, which understandably was played very often at that time, blared on the TV. I knew that changes were coming and that they arrive soon, but still I truly felt that my oldest, being one one the "children of tomorrow", would have far less to fear than we did.

When Bill Clinton unseated G.H.W. Bush (history has since proven him to be no friend of real Liberty nor of the US) for the presidency, I wrote the event off as a reflexive reaction to a bad recession and the usual post-war (First Gulf War) tendencies of voters to drop the guy they trusted when things were bad. I still firmly believed that all of the Marxists in the Halls of Academia would be "laughed out of court" for their continued assertions that Socialism is inevitable and indeed feasible.

So convinced was I with this belief that I was even naive enough to assume that pigs like Venezuela's Chavez would be voted out of office once he had proclaimed his desire to bring about Socialism enough times. What I mean by that was I could not conceive the possibility that so many people would be evil or stupid enough to want something that was proven to be stifling, unworkable, and a guarantee of poverty and stagnation.

Where I went wrong was in a failure to realize that all modern Marxists are Trotskyites at heart. As Trotsky understood, Marxism's only chance of succeeding was if free market/capitalistic nations were eliminated from the playing board. "Communism just hasn't been tried/done right" would be the new mantra for Western Socialists. The latter have long recognized the crucial reality that, in order worldwide Socialism to work, three things are needed.

The first is that all market economy (or those with vestiges of this) must be taken over by the Democratic process, hence our "Democratic Socialists", the now-Marxist-driven US Democratic Party, and those of the US Republican establishment, who are all, to varying degrees, prepared for the ultimate end of national sovereignty and either a one-wold government or a collection of regional governing bodies.

Make every nation Socialist, and there are no longer any places to which ungrateful citizens can flee.

The second is the incorporation of some free market features (at least until the entire deal is done)- only a tiny fraction of real Western Socialists want all businesses  nationalized. They recognize that there has to be people who are profit-driven if good products and services can be available. The key difference is that Western Socialists still need lots of real power, so they need to reduce the pool of private businesses, including farmers, to a very manageable amount. Here is where the oligarchs and mega-conglomerates/corporations come into the picture. By crushing regulations of all types (environmental, labor, health care, etc), and a massive importation of cheap labor (especially illegals n the US), Socialists can pare down the amount of private businesses down to a level that can be controlled. This is where the plutocrats, big bankers, other big-time speculators, and actual producers alike, and see their chance to gain everything while risking very little; they have joined forces with the Left with the expectations of establishing a virtual permanent  ruling class of business interests who are partnered with the Intellectuals/Social Engineers.who together will run the entire show. Even the royal houses of Western Europe have not opposed a plan that at least promises that their families will be safe in their hereditary offices for a long time to come. George Soros and his cronies have done their homework.

The third is actually the first step, but I felt the need to cite the first two to present a clear picture. The People of market-economy nations had to be conditioned to accept Marxism. Early 20th century Marxists were shocked that the proletariat did not rise up against the ruling classes in WWI. In response, they got together and correctly realized their problem -Western Civilization - its very existence was lamented by early Marxists such as Georg Lukaks and Antonio Gramsci . When Lukaks asked his Henry II-esque rhetorical question "Who will save us from Western Civilization ", he meant that this particular culture/society stood squarely in the way of the advance of worldwide Marxism. The concepts of rule of law, religion, patriotism, historical legacies, individualism, were too entrenched in the hearts and minds of the people to allow for the march of Communism. As the people did not know what was good for them, they had to be shorn of these attachments. What we got was "Cultural Marxism" - the plan of the Western Marxists to undermine the attitudes of Western peoples about themselves and their societies.

I will cut this post short for tonight. My last note will be that I have found very credible arguments that the "collapse" or Marxism in  then-Marxist nations was not real but planned as a retrograde operation - a "structured collapse" so to speak, in order to prepare for a renewed push to bring all nations, including those of the West, under the yoke of Socialism. When one takes this into account, the fact that many modern Marxists will now admit that horrors such as those of Stalin were lamentable - while insisting that they were actually only aberrations of Marxism, a "planned collapse" theory begins to make sense. By labeling Stalinism as an anomaly and officially "ending" the old Marxism, Westerners could be lulled into a false sense of security while the new Marxism of Western Socialists can slowly but surely install their new filthier, uglier and far more immoral version of it. 

Gone will (so they say)  be the gulags and killing fields, but the totalitarianism will nonetheless be there, only in a softer form. You will own property, but you will have no control over it. You will have families, but you will have no say in how these are managed either. Churches will not be closed, but they  will be forced to pay for abortions and officiate at gay weddings (or have to required newlyweds to also have civil ceremonies of they don't want to lose tax-exempt  status). Your children will be forced to attend public schools (home schooling is already banned in Germany) where they will learn that the West in the only source of truly bad cultures and that nothing good ever came of the greatest civilization in the history of the world. You will definitely not be able to defend yourself as firearms will be restricted to the cops and the military.

Mandatory Abortions for Population Control

This is by no means a new concept. At the bottom of this post will be several links about hyper-radical (but becoming increasingly accepted) proposals for severe limits on world wide populations.

The only reason that this case is unique at all is that the most recent advocate for governmental-enforced population control came from gay advocate thug Dan Savage. It was he who became infamous for utilizing his speaking engagements to mete out indescribably vicious attacks on people, including high school students, who did not appreciate his cruel remarks.

I deliberately chose a source that takes a low-end estimate of this reality (many estimate that we can feed a doubled population). We just need third world rulers to allow the intended recipients to actually obtain the delivered food and to refrain from preventing experts from helping their citizens to improve their own agricultural production; corrupt rulers don't want their subjects to be well-fed nor do they want them to be self-sufficient in an way.

The Left has long called for a massive worldwide effort to make decisions on having children to be a matter of governmental approval. Even in the US, we have a monument dedicated to what amounts to one-world government with at best semi-autonomous nations, speaking of one Newspeak language, radical environmentalism, euthanasia (including what would be mandatory amniocenteses to "weed out the weak") of the disabled at birth and at old age, a bizarre call to combat ethnic/racial differences, destruction of individual rights and liberties, and legal restrictions on having children. 

Note that even if the US, Europe, China, and India killed off all of their own people with nuclear weapons or a plague, the world would still have far more than 500,000,000 people. What the Left wants is a reign of terror so that, like the old Soviet elite, they can live in country villas and Dachas while the few who are allowed to live labor for the enjoyment and ease of the new Leftist elite, who are of course needed for their tremendous intellectual ability.
