Obama Insults G.W. Bush at Bush's Portrait Hanging

I know that we have bigger fish to fry when it comes to the threats facing the US and Western Civilization as a whole, but the despicable jerk that occupies the White House has done it again.

During the ceremony for the hanging of G.W. Bush's Presidential portrait in the White House, Obama took cheap shots at the man who was being honored.

Bolding is mine:

"President Obama on Thursday twisted the knife he‘d stuck in his predecessor’s legacy, reminding former President George W. Bush that he left the economy a mess and al Qaeda mastermind Osama bin Laden alive when he left the White House three years ago."

Of course none of the intelligence gathered as a result of Bush administration policies did not set the tables for locating Bin-Ladin and the resulting operation.

“The months before I took the oath of office were a chaotic time,” Obama told a crowd of mostly former Bush administration officials and members of the Bush family, including Bush’s parents, former President George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush.[...]

“We knew our economy was in trouble, our fellow Americans were in pain, but we wouldn’t know until later just how breathtaking the financial crisis had been,” Obama continued, raising some eyebrows among the Bush crowd seated just a few feet away."

The man is a disgrace. I avoid vulgarity, but this man could ---- up a wet dream.

While Obama has spoken poorly of his predecessor whenever he could, and has done the same with  the opposing party (Republicans), both of which are unprecedented for an American President, Bush has remained quite as a church mouse. Although I hold that this is due to Bush's (And I disagreed with a number of his policies and decisions) sense of dignity, I also believe that GW knows that no one needs to speak disparagingly of Obama - that man needs no help is embarrassing himself.

Even though Bush and the rest of his family, even considering the speaker, likely never expected the buffoon to go this far, each and every one of them maintained their dignity and refrained from expressing any outrage.

"Bush, however, was the picture of grace, not saying anything remotely insulting about Obama or his wife, and instead treating them with all the deference a sitting President might expect. Indeed, the only place where Bush could have been construed to say anything insulting was when he named his own wife the best First Lady ever, with his mother Barbara Bush maybe tying her. And as to himself, he didn’t pull any punches there, using his typical self-deprecating humor."

Having to think quickly after being blindsided at an event that was supposed to be non-partisan, the former President not only deftly put Michelle behind the two First Ladies with the Bush surname, he also nailed Obama by noting that he was being treated unfairly and terribly rudely while making it clear that he was not going to let it get to him:

" 'Madame First Lady, thank you so much for inviting our rowdy friends to my hanging,” he joked."

This is a beautiful example of how much more intelligent Bush is compared to Obama. With no time to prepare, he pretended to put himself and his family down while hammering Obama. The play on words, taking the 'hanging" in "portrait hanging" and using it to convey that is was Bush himself who was actually being hanged, is a comeback worthy of praise..

As the youth would say, Obama got poned.
(Powerfully owned, dominated)

.... and I have no doubt that Obama's ego was badly bruised as a result.
