The family and childhood itself has long been targeted for destruction by the Left. While most Americans recognize that rapists and pedophiles/sex offenders of underage victims in the US are not jailed for sufficient number of years, in Western Europe rapists enjoy sickeningly short prison sentences for their crimes.
Family members are left with few options. They can hope against hope that the victim will receive justice, or they can risk being jailed and the inevitable civil lawsuits for dishing out more appropriate punishments to the monsters.
In recent years, it has become ever more clear that Leftists, "Liberals", and others of the same persuasion have come out more forcefully in defense of those who target young children and underage victims for their perverted sexual desires.

The 68ers wanted to get rid of all inhibition and repression, including the repression of sexual contact between adults and children. Sexual liberation was at the top of the agenda of the young revolutionaries who, in 1967, began turning society upside down. Everything that the innovators perceived as wrong and harmful has its origins in this concept: man’s aggression, greed and desire to own things, as well as his willingness to submit to authority.
