Dark Clouds of Trouble With Iran

Hat tip to New Jersey Patriot and Gates of Vienna.

http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2012/09/an-evil-regime.html

http://newjerseypatriotblog.newjerseypatriot.us/?p=1384

For several months, New Jersey Patriot has been warning of a possible pre-election action by the Obama administration with Iran. I stand on the side that holds that Iran should in no way be allowed to posses nukes, but the timing of all that appears to be coming to a head is too close to be coincidental.

The US has dragged its feet in dealing with Iran's nuke program. Israel has been understandably concerned as they will be the target of Iran's first strike. Netanyahu has come right out and said that, if Israel feels that the threat is imminent, they will take action in order to at least delay Iran's program for a few more years.

The Obama administration seems to have deliberately put off any real response to Iran's moves until the 60 days before the election. I have a hard time believing that this was not purposely done. Doing little or nothing until now leaves a "hip pocket" move that would be available in the event that Romney pulls ahead with a strong lead with precious few weeks to go. A major strike against Iran would have to provide at least 3-4 points in the polls.

As noted in the Sun News Network video (In the Gates of Vienna link), Britain had closed her embassy in Tehran after it was attacked. Now Canada has followed suit by withdrawing her diplomats and sending Iran's diplomats packing.

I was born after the Cuban Missile Crisis. I cannot recall any point in my lifetime that the likelihood of a nuclear attack by any nation, even a preemptive one by the US or Israel, was this high. The US and the USSR were all-too-aware of the hopelessness of launching missiles at each other.

Israel does not have the option that we had. If she fails to protect herself from Ahmadinejad and his goons, she will either fall victim to the first nuclear strike since Nagasaki or be paralyzed by the threat of Iran's nukes and consequently have to stick to fighting a conventional war against a new pan-Islamic coalition (Even a temporary one). Israel will not play the sheep and ignore the wolf staring at the flock from atop the ridge.

Even barring an act of Obamian desperation, we could easily be pulled into an all-out Near and Middle Eastern war.

-From New Jersey Patriot (With a quoted post from Trevour Loudon's New Zeal Blogsite:

"The symptoms are there. Not mentioned by Terresa, but also important:

The prices of gold and silver have taken off.

Increased cooperation between Hamas and Hesballah.

Instability in Sinai

Al Qaeda infiltration of Syrian dissidents.

Possibility of Hesballah use of Syrian gas against Israel.

Watch for a trigger…possibly a Gulf of Tonkin incident sparked by the US. This will force the issue with Israel and allow the US to save the world economy by keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. Israel will be on its own against the Iranian, Hesballah, Hamas, Egyptian armies.

The US scaling back military exercises with Israel.

The US announcement of military exercises with Egypt, along with $1 billion of aid.

I don’t think that Iran has the capability of launching an EMP attack. They still need to explode a nuke at about an 25 mile altitude. This would be tough from a cargo ship…the issue is having the missile, warhead, and nuclear bomb capability. On the other hand, there is a clear risk for which Obama is totally unprepared.

This is scary stuff folks. Don’t take it lightly. Be prepared."

My all-time favorite author is Dean Koontz. He has a way of telling a story that is absolutely riveting, humorous and horrifying at the same time. There’s a story here somewhere for Dean – I can sense evil from The Corner of My Eye. And it is fast approaching like a malevolent storm intent on sweeping mankind away with sinister glee bubbling up from its chaotic depths. The story line is unfolding with good and evil lines drawn and the players taking sides with no guarantee of the outcome, but plenty of ensured carnage. Let’s set the stage, shall we?

One of the first things that happens before full-blown war breaks out typically is that embassies are closed and diplomats are recalled or expelled. It is a precursor to the beginning of festivities on both sides.

This past week. Canada found the spine we seemed to have misplaced and declared Iran a terrorist regime. They closed their embassy in Iran and brought their ambassador and diplomats home. They closed Iran’s embassy in Canada and kicked out their ambassador and diplomats. They also issued the strongest travel warning available to their citizens telling them in no uncertain terms, don’t even think of going to Iran and if you are there, get the hell out."

Obama Knows Most About Judaism Out of All US Presidents

http://www.haaretz.com/news/world/obama-awards-rock-icon-bob-dylan-highest-presidential-honor-1.433388

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/why-is-the-polish-pm-demanding-an-apology-from-president-obama/

Just keep letting him talk........

The day before the intelligent (I was told that he was smart before and after the 2008 election) President referred to WWII concentration camps that happened to have been in Poland as Polish Death Camps (TheBlaze link), he claimed to know more about Judaism than any other US President. (Haaretz link) His reason and justification for such a claim?

He read about it.

"Obama also stressed he probably knows about Judaism more than any other president, because he read about it - and wondered how come no one asks Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner or Senate minority leader Mitch McConnel about their support to Israel.

William Kristol, founder of The Weekly Standard, criticized Obama's comments at the meeting with Conservative rabbis, saying that the "reason no one asks John Boehner or Mitch McConnell about their support for Israel is because they really do support Israel," adding: "The reason people ask Barack Obama about his support for Israel is because his support for Israel has been equivocal."

Kristol also tagged as "truly pathetic" President mentioning his "Jewish friends" in Chicago to support his pro-Israel credentials, and ripped at the claim he "knows more about Judaism than any other president."

"His vanity boggles the mind". Kristol wrote, adddig: "One could begin by citing Adams and Madison, who knew Hebrew, or Harry Truman, who knew Jewish history."

The conservative writer added that in "thinking about the presidents since Truman, though, I'd guess the president who knew the most about Judaism was Jimmy Carter, who taught Sunday school and had a deep interest in religion.' "

I have come to believe that Obama is the product of three major flaws. The first, and most obvious, is that he is not very bright. The second is that he is a true product of our educational system, a structure from which enormous amounts of world and American history has been excised. The third is that he is terribly narcissistic and therefore believes that people will believe any claim that he makes. His pattern of lying is as close to the Munchausen syndrome as I have ever seen in a politician.  The three come together like a train wreck.

In the case of Obama, I have often held that there was a reason for the second. In order to properly prepare the people for "Year Zero*", the beginning of the new world order in which all that occurred prior to the new government is not taken into account nor even discussed, they all had to be made ignorant of their history and culture, including that of their nation. Only by spitting out graduates that know nothing of Greek, Roman, Northern European, Christian, and Jewish history could the Leftists of Academia create blank slates in the minds of the Proletariat and thus leave them susceptible Marxist arguments

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_Zero_(political_notion)

"The term Year Zero, applied to the takeover of Cambodia in 1975 by Pol Pot, is an analogy to the Year One of the French Revolutionary Calendar. During the French Revolution, after the abolition of the French monarchy (September 20, 1792), the National Conventioninstituted a new calendar and declared the beginning of the Year I. The Pol Pot takeover of Phnom Penh was rapidly followed by a series of drastic revolutionary agrarian socialism policies resulting in the Cambodian Genocide, whose death toll vastly exceeded that of the French Reign of Terror.

The idea behind Year Zero is that all culture and traditions within a society must be completely destroyed or discarded and a new revolutionary culture must replace it, starting from scratch. All history of a nation or people before Year Zero is deemed largely irrelevant, as it will (as an ideal) be purged and replaced from the ground up."

Anyway, Obama serves up another example of his outrageous vanity. It is clear that he does not even take the time to ask any of his advisors to do a Google search with terms such as "Judaism or Hebrew US Presidents" to first find out if any other Presidents are known to have any appreciable knowledge of Judaism. Any one of us could come up with other search terms/keywords to glean some information quickly.

Barry just can't wait for that. An idea pops up in his head, and it rolls right off the tongue. He knows that the Media will, as the do with all of the his gaffes, either ignore it or get someone to explain it in a nice way.

In an old The Simpson's episode, Bart gets a Big Brother (Actually the show calls it "Bigger Brothers") because Homer never does anything with him. Homer, feeling insulted and jealous, volunteers to be a Bigger Brother himself. When asked why he wants the position, his mind tells him "Don't say revenge, Don't say revenge." Homer utters a one-word answer "Revenge". His mind says "Do'oh, I'm outta here". We then hear in his mind footsteps and the door being shut

The door was shut a long time ago. Now all that we are left with are his delusions of grandeur.

Just to test my claim, I typed in "Jewish History US Presidents". The following post was about three results down:

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/US-Israel/presquote.html

John Adams-

I will insist that the Hebrews have done more to civilize man than any other nation. (Letter from John Adams to Thomas Jefferson)

Farther I could find it in my heart to wish that you had been at the head of a hundred thousand Israelites . . . & marching with them into Judea & making a conquest of that country & restoring your nation to the dominion of it. For I really wish the Jews again in Judea an independent nation. (Letter to Mordecai Manuel Noah, 1819) 1

John Quincy Adams-

[I believe in the] rebuilding of Judea as an independent nation. (Letter to Major Mordecai Manuel Noah)

Abraham Lincoln-

Not long after the Emancipation Proclamation, President Abraham Lincoln met a Canadian Christian Zionist, Henry Wentworth Monk, who expressed hope that Jews who were suffering oppression in Russia and Turkey be emancipated “by restoring them to their national home in Palestine.” Lincoln said this was “a noble dream and one shared by many Americans.” The President said his chiropodist was a Jew who “has so many times ‘put me upon my feet’ that I would have no objection to giving his countrymen ‘a leg up.’”

Woodrow Wilson-

The allied nations with the fullest concurrence of our government and people are agreed that in Palestine shall be laid the foundations of a Jewish Commonwealth. (Reaction to the Balfour Declaration)

Recalling the previous experiences of the colonists in applying the Mosaic Code to the order of their internal life, it is not to be wondered at that the various passages in the Bible that serve to undermine royal authority, stripping the Crown of its cloak of divinity, held up before the pioneer Americans the Hebrew Commonwealth as a model government. In the spirit and essence of our Constitution, the influence of the Hebrew Commonwealth was paramount in that it was not only the highest authority for the principle, “that rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God,” but also because it was in itself a divine precedent for a pure democracy, as distinguished from monarchy, aristocracy or any other form of government.

To think that I, the son ofthe manse, should be able to help restore the Holy Land to its people.

Warren Harding-

It is impossible for one who has studied at all the services of the Hebrew people to avoid the faith that they will one day be restored to their historic national home and there enter on a new and yet greater phase of their contribution to the advance of humanity.

Calvin Coolidge-

Coolidge expressed his “sympathy with the deep and intense longing which finds such fine expression in the Jewish National Homeland in Palestine.”

The Jews themselves, of whom a considerable number were already scattered throughout the colonies, were true to the teachings of their prophets. The Jewish faith is predominantly the faith of liberty.

Harry Truman-

I had faith in Israel before it was established, I have faith in it now. (Granting de facto recognition to the new Jewish State—11 minutes after Israel's proclamation of independence)

I believe it has a glorious future before it—not just another sovereign nation, but as an embodiment of the great ideals of our civilization. (May 26, 1952)

I had carefully read the Balfour Declaration. I had familiarized myself with the history of the question of a Jewish homeland and the position of the British and the Arabs. I was skeptical, as I read over the whole record up to date, about some of the views and attitudes assumed by the 'striped-pants boys' in the State Department."

Lyndon Johnson-

Our society is illuminated by the spiritual insights of the Hebrew prophets. America and Israel have a common love of human freedom and they have a common faith in a democratic way of life.

Most if not all of you have very deep ties with the land and with the people of Israel, as I do, for my Christian faith sprang from yours....the Bible stories are woven into my childhood memories as the gallant struggle of modern Jews to be free of persecution is also woven into our souls. (Speech before B'nai B'rith)

George W. Bush-
Through centuries of struggle, Jews across the world have been witnesses not only against the crimes of men, but for faith in God, and God alone. Theirs is a story of defiance in oppression and patience in tribulation — reaching back to the exodus and their exile into the diaspora. That story continued in the founding of the State of Israel. The story continues in the defense of the State of Israel (Address to the National Commemoration of the Days of Remembrance, April 19, 2001).

Obama Calls Falklands Malvinas - Well, He Tried to

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/falklandislands/9207183/Barack-Obama-makes-Falklands-gaffe-by-calling-Malvinas-the-Maldives.html

In demonstrations both of his staunch support for our British allies and his impeccable knowledge of geography, Obama referred to the Falkland Islands as the Malvinas.

Well, he didn't quite use the Argentine name for the Falklands. What he actually said was "Maldives". The Maldives are on the other side of the world. Now, I can hear the chorus of his supporters jumping in to defend the highly intelligent, high-IQ having, smart (Did I forget anything) President they admire like a 17 year-old High School girl may admire the Varsity Quarterback from her school. They will say “The Malvinas and Maldives are not that different in the way they are pronounced” or, "He was just trying to say it in manner that would be understood by the attendees of the Summit". Firstly, the names of the two different places are pronounced quite differently. Even if you are speaking in English, the Malvinas winds up being pronounced very closely to the manner in which it rolls off the Spanish-speaking Tongue - Mahl - veen-ahs. The Maldives are pronounced Mal- Deevs. Not even close. Thirdly, please do not pretend to be under the impression that educated people in Latin American are not aware of the British (And world’s) name for the islands. In addition to that, if he wanted the Spanish-speakers to understand, then maybe he should have taken a few practice swings with pronouncing the name.

As noted in the post which is linked below, Argentina has been back on the 'reclaim the Falklands/Malvinas wagon' for some time. Leftist President Cristiana Kirchner had tried to get the topic put on the agenda of the Cartagena Summit but failed in her efforts, in part due to the vetoes exercised by the US and Canada.

True to form for a Leftist, Kirchner also recently nationalized the oil company YPF, which in majority-owned by the Spanish Repsol Corporation:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_9714000/9714254.stm

Back to our Obamian move and the resulting gaffe, (They are related but not the same thing - other Obamian moves are still stupid but are not accidents), in short, the man is an embarrassment. I am not going to go into an historical discourse on the history of the political control of the Falklands; you can read it briefly on the post below or look it up elsewhere. The facts of the matter are these; Britain has controlled the Falklands, (Without any real military conquest) since before the US civil war, Argentina made no real issue about the islands until the early 80's, and the inhabitants are all English speakers and British by culture. Obama is fully aware that, by intending to go with the Argentine name, he is attempting to lend credibility to Argentina’s claim. Now, in truth, the last thing you want for your cause, if you desire that it have any credibility, is for Obama to speak in favor of it. A statement of support from Obama puts your cause, by association, in a junk pile with a whole lot of other foolish, false, or plainly wrong positions.

Argentina, not having any interest in the place until oil reserves were believed to be in the area, invaded the islands without warning in 1982. The British retook the islands after a sometimes ferocious (At sea - on land the Argentine soldiers were not equipped well, nor did they show much interest in fighting) but brief war. At some point, Argentina needs to realize that national borders are what they are. We can’t go about renegotiating who controls what on every parcel of land in the world. Fernandez' weak accusation of British "colonialism" does not work - Argentina too is every bit the creation of Spanish colonization. I also have not been made aware of any plans for the Argentines to start giving the country back to the indigenous of the region.

I have tried to think of a US President whose lack of knowledge of the world, the US, or any other subject of which a head of State should be at least familiar, comes within a thousand miles as that of Obama. He does not know anything.

Not only does he insult our British allies (Again**) by trying to use the Argentine name for the islands, he can't even do that right. The man, aside from a Leftist-controlled primary school curriculum devoid (Thanks to other Leftists) of any appreciable information and what he gleaned from his Law and Critical Race Theory classes in college, knows about as much of the world and its history as I do about the Hadron Particle Collider. Not only that, but he seems to be perfectly fine with this.

As I noted in an earlier post, his qualities are those of a peasant who is ruled by a clannish hatred.

http://thehotgates480bc.blogspot.com/2011/11/obama-and-return-of-winston-churchill.html

I generally avoid posting about Obamian gaffes as they are just not news. It's like saying that is it hot and sunny in Phoenix Arizona:

http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/45996

Lastly, this link has two videos of Obama and his gaffes. The second video of the Gates of Vienna link is made by Danes. Even I could not believe the statements that he makes to foreign leaders. No matter which Head of State is sitting next to him. Obama tells him or her the same thing. Recall the old line "I'll bet you say that to all the girls". Over and over, he utilizes the boxing phrase of "punching above one's weight" to indicate that a smaller nation exercises more influence than can be expected of a nation of that size. After those, we are privileged to find out how many "best or most important allies" that we have. It is quite a long list

http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2012/04/double-vision-more-of-same.html

OK, one more link. This one is classic "Newspeak". It is a site dedicated to supporting Obama but, strangely, also about getting the facts straight about Obama.  The name of the site is "Truth Team".
I would think that, if one wanted to support Obama, the last thing that the supporter would want is to make sure that people knew the facts.

....Newspeak is upon us.

http://www.barackobama.com/truth-team

It is sad that the most generous thing that one can say about Obama is that he is "in over his head".

Cristina Kirchner, the Argentine president, has renewed her country's sovereignty claim to the Falklands in the build-up to the 30th anniversary of the Argentine invasion of the islands, which triggered the Falklands War, on April 2.

She has accused David Cameron of maintaining a "colonial enclave" in the South Atlantic and taken Argentina's claim to the UN.

But Mrs Kirchner left the summit – attended by North, South and Central American nations – earlier than expected last night as Colombian press reported she was unhappy that a declaration of support for the Argentine claim to the British-controlled territory was not included in the summit's final document, which went unsigned after the USA and Canada used their vetoes.

Mrs Kirchner, to whom the Mercosur trade-bloc and the Union of South American Nations had previously confirmed their support in the diplomatic dispute over the islands, was seeking further backing from the Americas.

During the summit, she said Cartagena was an ideal place to talk about the Falklands since the wall that surrounds the city's historic centre was built by the Spanish crown to protect it from "English pirates".

Mrs Kirchner also reprimanded Juan Manuel Santos, the Colombian president, for failing to mention the islands in his speec
h.

Van Jones Runs His Mouth Again

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/van-jones-unloads-on-libertarians-they-hate-the-brown-folk-the-gays-the-lesbians-theyre-anti-immigrant-bigots/

"In citing the Libertarian principle of economic liberty, Jones stated “They’ve taken their despicable ideology and used it a wrecking ball, that they have painted red, white and blue, to smash down every good thing in America.”
Jones continued, “They say they’re Patriots but they hate everybody in America who looks like us. They say they love America but they hate the people, the brown folk, the gays, the lesbians, the people with piercings, ya know ya’ll.”

Rabid Marxist and radical environmentalist Van Jones has been around the block. Most are aware of his brief but extraordinarily professional and gentlemanly tenure as Obama's Green Jobs Czar. While there, he famously referred to Congressional Republicans as "as-----s". This was no off-the -cuff remark or an Obamian open mic incident. He came right out and said it in response to a question from the audience. That and other things, like pretending to be under the impression that the 911 attacks were directly caused by the Bush administration or other dark governmental power and blamed on Muslim terrorists (Truther), lead to his resignation from his position with the Administration.

A quick diversion into the past -

The really sad part is that Van is the product of a Mother and Father who exemplify the American dream:
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/is-van-jones-rebuild-the-dream-book-a-blueprint-for-the-99-spring/

"Passages of the book relive moments Jones shared with his father, described as a “by the boot-strap” school principal who escaped southern segregation by joining the U.S. military in a law enforcement capacity and who later went on to put himself through college. Jones benefited from his parents’ tenacity and propensity for higher learning, subsequently earning entry into one of the nation’s most prestigious educational institutions, Yale University.

During and after his time at Yale, he completely abandoned the whole concept of hard work and sacrifice that was practiced by his parents.

After his resignation, Ol' Van got right back on the horse, lending his name to and pushing the occupy movement.

This was his most recent appearance and where he made the comments quoted up top:
http://allinforthe99percent.org/

The first comment itself, as have others that have become increasingly more common among Leftists, imply that the speaker believes that economic liberty not only was not a crucial and core piece of our nation's original structure and vision, but that it is somehow diametrically opposed to what the US is about. Since arguing against his point would be somewhat like arguing with someone who asserts that it is possible to jump into a lake without getting wet, I will refrain from any real refutation. None is necessary and I would prefer not to dignify his comment with a response. Suffice to say that Mr. Jones knows that economic liberty was one of the most important of issues for those who fought for, and were involved in the making of, our nation. He just hopes that you do not and that you will believe him

As I have noted in earlier posts, the Left routinely engages in Projection. Anyone who took an Intro to Psychology class is familiar with the term. Those who are fully aware of what they do wrong will put on a show and accuse their opponents (Or just an innocent bystander) of all the wrongs in which he or she engages. When applied to politics, it tends to work better with people who have been taught little or nothing about themselves and their society. As you can imagine, the US is particularly ripe for such drivel. All levels of US education, from colleges to elementary school, have been purged of any teaching or textbook-type materials that provide the information needed to understand the foundations of our society. Mr. Jones runs around claiming that those who advocate economic liberty are not the patriots. In doing so, he seeks to create diversions from the obvious fact that it is his ideas and agendas that stand in complete contrast to core values of our nation.

Here is another one of Van's rants:

http://nation.foxnews.com/van-jones/2012/03/22/van-jones-death-great-white-suburbs

"There are two American dreams. There’s one I call the "American Fantasy". Everybody's going to be rich, and we are all going to ride out on our credit cards to the GREAT WHITE SUBURBS, get a McMansion, and buy flat screen TVs to cover up the holes in our lives... that is the American fantasy which is turning into the American nightmare. That is dying out on its own accord, it deserves no defense and it gets no defense and I’m glad it’s going away"

Van has every intention of eliminating suburban communities. Note how he is growing ever-less concerned about veiling his racist beliefs. Those who can afford to purchase homes and live in lower-crime areas that have relatively quiet neighborhoods are the problem. In these locales, people like the convenience of being close to their kid's Little League and other recreational sports fields and enjoy being able to posses a few hundred square feet of grass in which their children can play outside (Or ride bicycles around the block). The facts that these people often sacrificed quite a bit of their lives and fortunes for their education (In Majors that are desired by employers, not, for example Latin-American studies or Critical Race Theory) and often spend much time away from their families at the jobs that pay for these houses has no meaning to Mr. Jones.

I for one, did not buy a flat-screen TV until last month because I habitually put off such purchases until I know that doing so will not take away from paying for something more important.

I have no doubt that Van's answer to the suburbs is to implement as much of Agenda 21 as possible. Those who are unfamiliar with the plan can obtain fairly good summaries about the plan to eliminate the suburban communities, reduce rural populations to a bare minimum necessary to work on the state or corporate-owned farms, and move the displaced into the cities where they can be more effectively managed and controlled on the link below.

http://thehotgates480bc.blogspot.com/2012/03/agenda-21-iclei-creation-and-purpose.html

The above post is about the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI).

This loosely-knit but influential group works to tie local communities in the with UN plan for programs such as "Sustainable Development", drastic reduction of water consumption in households, movement of people into the cities, and the rigid controlling and the inevitable and consequential loss of privately owned land. A founder of the organization is extensively quoted there.

At the bottom of that post are links to other posts that cover Agenda 21.

Five Penn. Coal Plants Will Close - Obama Gets Another Win

http://hotair.com/archives/2012/03/01/five-coal-fueled-power-plants-to-close-due-to-obama-administration-regulation/

http://newjerseypatriotblog.newjerseypatriot.us/?p=884

Well, I just can't wait to see how we will be able to get the electricity to power our electric cars that are being forced down our throats. Not that I am against the concept, in fact I would buy a Volt if they made a truck version that was not wildy expensive. I was thinking of wearing woolen clothing for static build-up, but that could be dangerous if I did have to go to the gas pumps, so I nixed that idea.

The Obama administration has opted to do a modern-Day version of Chairman Mao's "Great Leap Forward", the grand plan to industrialize Chinese villages and to make them into scattered mini self-sufficient producers of steel and such. Remnants of the furnaces are pretty much all that is left of this. These stand in mute testimony to his master plan to change the nation overnight; that and memories of wrecked communities and families.

Obama's anti energy Secretary Steven Chu made his point clear recently concerning his stance on the current fuel prices:

"Shortly before he became President Barack Obama's energy secretary, Steven Chu declared, "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe" -- which were around $8 per gallon at the time.

Has he changed his mind since then? It seems not. On Tuesday, during a hearing in the House of Representatives, Chu said high gas prices are helpful in spurring research on alternative energy.

A frustrated Rep. Alan Nunnelee, R-Miss., asked Chu, "But is the overall goal to get our price" of gasoline down?

"No," Chu replied. "The overall goal is to decrease our dependency on oil, to build and strengthen our economy.' "

http://timesfreepress.com/news/2012/mar/02/high-gas-prices-serve-a-good-purpose/

This is in line with Obama's promise to make new coal-fired plants too expensive due to taxes and regulations:

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/11/02/obama-well-bankrupt-any-new-coal-plants/

Of course the plants that are to be shut down are older ones, but you get the idea. Make new plants prohibitively expensive, and tax and regulate old ones until they too are shut down.

Recall too Obama's explanation that his cap and trade regulations will cause prices for electricity to, "necessarily, skyrocket". Yes, and he also mentions "mobilizing the citizenry" in order to get them on board with his plans.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlTxGHn4sH4

Here's the deal - the Obama administration has every intention of making electricity and fuel costs so expensive that many of us will be forced back into the cities and on the buses and trains. Our abundant coal will sit in its seams unused. Our oil, both liquid and shale will remain untapped, as will our natural gas, the fracking for which apparently does not pollute anywhere nearly as badly as is being claimed. In fact, the truth seems to be that many of these areas had high levels of NG in their water prior to this process becoming commonly used. We will also not be able to benefit from the Keystone pipeline. That oil will go to China.

If he winds up being able to jump-start green power even on a marginal scale, he gets to claim victory. If it flops, then he gets to claim victory anyway by saying, see I told you, we have to fundamentally change the way we do things.

It seems apparent that he desires to remake us into his Fascist/Socialist society of extreme urban populations and corporate-owned farms that employ newly brought-in voters from other nations and the few traditionalists who just can't bring themselves to leave rural regions. Private property will be dead as a concept, a relic of the pre-Obamian era.

The enemy has a firm grip on the reigns and they are riding our horse over a cliff.  I am having a hard time coming up with scenarios that will allow us to avoid that which troubled Daniel Webster and killed Lincoln - the dismantling of our Union. Those two men were and are people whom I still believe we should all strive to emulate, but I cannot imagine that they would have the same outlook if they could see what is happening to us right now.

States will, at a minimum, have to begin taking control of regulating energy mining, exploration, and production. They need to free up the companies that have the men (Sorry ladies- I call poetic license on this one)  and material to get the job done. We should never have allowed our tax money to be fronted for green companies. Want a solution for that? Easy, make all truly green energy companies completely free of taxes for, say, 20 years. It won't hurt us as we essentially get not tax revenue from them now. If the green companies can then make their products competitive, great.

Our states can no longer remain idle. They will have to take actions that will result in court battles and decisions that will have to be defied. Those who are fortunate to live in states that have any chance of making such bold but necessary moves need to petition their leaders and potential leaders. They will have to force the courts and the EPA to come after them and take steps to forbid the inevitable injunctions and warrants from being enforced. Those who take action will have the overwhelming support of much of America.
